Why should I buy from Brilliant Carbon?

At Brilliant Carbon, we’re dedicated to bringing the beauty of real diamonds within reach. We only offer high-quality lab-grown diamonds we would want to wear ourselves. With Brilliant Carbon, you don't have to search through hundreds of thousands of mediocre diamonds to find the few high-quality gems that are also a great value. Everything we sell is a brilliant choice. Our logo is our pledge to illuminate the complicated world of diamonds so you can shine.

 

Are your lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Our lab-grown diamonds display the same physical, chemical, and optical characteristics as natural diamonds, and exhibit the same fire, scintillation, and sparkle. The only difference is their origin: a mine or a laboratory. Our supply chain is as transparent as our gems: every single one of our stones can be traced back to the facility that created it and the artisans that brought it to life. Are lab-grown diamonds or mined diamonds higher in quality?

Both come in a range of colors, clarities, carat weights and cuts. Neither is inherently better quality. One individual gem may have a better color than another, for example. Quality isn't connected to origin. An independent grading report is the best way to compare the quality of diamonds, whether they are mined diamonds or lab-grown diamonds.

 

Will people be able to tell it’s a lab-grown diamond?

No one will be able to tell that your diamond is lab grown just by looking at it, even with a loupe. Only a trained gemologist using specialized detection equipment can tell the difference.

 

Where are your headquarters? Can I visit?

We are headquartered in New York’s diamond district. Because of security restrictions, our headquarters and workshops are not open to the public.

 

Do you have stores?

We keep our prices as low as possible by not investing in the overhead of retail locations.

What shipping options are available on Brilliant Carbon.com?

We’re proud to offer FREE FedEx® shipping on every order in the US. All deliveries require a signature for delivery. If you would like to arrange delivery to a FedEx® location please contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes.

 

Do you ship internationally?

Not at this time.

 

Will I be charged sales tax on my Brilliant Carbon.com purchase?

Brilliant Carbon is required by law to charge sales tax for orders shipped from New York. Sales tax is collected automatically in the shopping cart as required.

 

What is your return policy?

Not completely thrilled by your new Brilliant Carbon jewelry? Return it in its original condition within 30 days from the day it arrives for a full refund (less a $25 restocking fee that covers insurance and shipping.) Contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge to request an insured FedEx® Label for your return, include the purchaser name and order number in the email. Expect your refund within 2 weeks (credit card companies timelines vary.) Why do you charge a restocking fee?

Free shipping is never free, it’s just included in the cost of what you buy. We decided that it would be fairer to ask those who use our return shipping and insurance to pay for it rather than to raise our up-front prices for everyone.

 

How do I exchange a purchase?

Brilliant Carbon.com offers complimentary shipping for any item that you’d like to exchange. Contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge and we will email you a return shipping label. You can then drop off your package at the nearest FedEx® location. Returns are accepted for exchange in the U.S. if returned in sellable condition within 30 days. Some exclusions may apply. What if I need extra help or advice about my purchase?

What are your payment options?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. You can also checkout by using PayPal.

 

Do you offer financing?

Not at this time. We are working towards activating attractive financing options soon.

 

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you would like to change or cancel an order please Contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge. We will accommodate order changes to the extent possible prior to shipping confirmation. If your order has already shipped, please contact us to set up a Brilliant Carbon Return once you have received the shipment.

 

Can I return an item that was given to me as a gift?

Of course! Simply contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge with the purchaser name and order number to request an insured FedEx® Label for your return. You can then drop off your package at the nearest FedEx® location. Please see our Return Policy for more information. If you would prefer for the buyer of the gift not to receive the refund, you can exchange the item for something else.

 

Can I have my package shipped to my office?

Yes. It’s an excellent way to keep your order a surprise. Make sure you will be available to sign for the package.

 

Does your shipping box say Brilliant Carbon on the outside?

All Brilliant Carbon purchases are shipped in a discreet unmarked box.

 

Is a signature required for delivery?

Yes. All deliveries require a signature for delivery regardless of any waivers you have from FedEx®.

 

Can I ship to an address that is different than my billing address?

Yes. We can also ship to a FedEx® location for pickup.

 

Can I track my order?

To check on the status of an order or verify shipment, please contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge.

 

Do you have a gift box for presentation?

All Brilliant Carbon Jewelry is presented in our beautiful gift box. We think you’ll want to save it for storing your jewelry.

 

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Brilliant Carbon does not ship to P.O. Boxes. We’re proud to offer FREE FedEx® shipping on every order in the US. All deliveries require a signature for delivery regardless of any waivers you have from FedEx®. These requirements are for your protection. If you would like to arrange delivery to a FedEx® location please contact Brilliant Carbon Customer Care.

 

Do you have any discount codes or sales?

Yes. You may stay informed on special offers and promotions by subscribing to Brilliant Carbon e-mails.

 

Can you put a hold on a diamond for me?

Yes, we’re happy to hold a diamond for you for up to 48 hours. Contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge.

 

Are prices on Brilliant Carbon.com subject to change?

Prices on BrilliantCarbon.com are subject to change without notice. Please expect to be charged the price for the BrilliantCarbon.com merchandise you buy as it is listed on the day of purchase.

 

Do you price match if I see a lower price after my purchase?

All prices are final, and we do not price match. Since we base our prices on the current prices of metals and gems, which fluctuate, our prices do too.

 

Do you offer trade-ins, upgrades or buy-backs? Do you buy diamonds or gold?

At this time we do not offer these services, which would require a larger mark up on our products.

 

OUR PRODUCTS

 

Are your diamonds ethically sourced?

All Brilliant Carbon diamonds are sourced directly from the grower in India. We track our diamonds from rough to cutting and through the jewelry workshop so you can be sure of ethical sourcing. The grower is currently switching to solar power and we expect that we will be able to offer carbon neutral lab-grown diamonds in 2021.

 

If I purchase an engagement ring and a loose diamond, do I have to pay extra to have the diamond set into the ring?

Absolutely not! We encourage you to customize any engagement ring with the diamond of your choice.

 

Can I get a grading certificate with my diamond?

We offer independent grading certificates for all diamonds over 0.50 carats.

 

Do you have a warranty on your jewelry?

Brilliant Carbon offers a lifetime warranty to protect against manufacturing defects on all the jewelry we sell. The warranty does not include diamond loss, normal wear and tear or damages incurred due to trauma, negligence, lack of regular maintenance, loss, or theft. This Lifetime Warranty is limited to repair and/or replacement at Brilliant Carbon’s discretion. For more information please see the details of our Lifetime Warranty.

How can I make sure that the diamond I received is the diamond I ordered?

We offer independent grading certificates for all diamonds over 0.50 carats.

 

Where is your jewelry made?

Our jewelry is made in responsible jewelry workshops in the United States, India and Thailand.

 

What if my ring doesn't fit?

Order the wrong size? No problem! Contact the Brilliant Carbon Concierge to inquire about free resizing.
